Hello, Before i will start this tutorial let me tell you a brief introduction about Yandex. Yandex is a Russian search engine in Russia. it is one of the most popular search engine in Russia after Google, Bing , Yahoo Yandex is the most popular. In the beginning this search engine was available in Russian language only but now its available in English also. As a search engine it also has some features like other search engines such as webmaster tools for webmaster and bloggers. Yandex is not so popular in some countries but it is the best way to get traffic to your blog.
Like Google and Bing, sitemap can be submitted to Yandex but it is different from submitting sitemap to Google and Bing. Google and Bing accepts normal sitemap i.e http://yourblogurl.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500 but in case of Yandex this sitemap cannot be used to get traffic from Yandex follow this steps.
- Go to Yandex webmaster tools
- After signing up log in to your Yandex account
- Add your site/blog
- Verify your blog by using the meta code (<head>)

How To Insert The Meta Code On Blogger
- Go to your blogger dashboard
- Go to to Theme
- Go to Edit HTML
- And press CTRL+F to find (<head>)
- After you find (<head>) paste the meta code below it
After Verification
- Go to your Yandex account
- Click on my sites
- Click on indexing options in the menu on the left hand side
- Choose the sub option "Sitemap Files"
- Use the following sitemap URL in the sitemap URL box : http://your-blog-link.blogspot.ru/sitemap.xml
- Click on add you are done sucessfully
- You can check your sitemap status by clicking on "check"
Note - Don't use http://your-blog-link.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml instead f it use http://your-blog-link.blogspot.ru/sitemap.xml because in case of .com Yandex is redirected .ru (Russian domain) it will result in stopping of indexing.
