AIRTEL HAVE DISCONTINUED IT'S N5 FOR 20 SECONDS BANK USSD SERVICE CHARGE

Hello, Last week MTN announce they  will start charging its customers for USSD bank transactions. According to the message, N4 will be charged for every 20 secs and this was suppose to commence this month.

                          The news was however met with a lot of outcry from users and the federal government through the NCC ordered MTN to suspend the proposed USSD charges. Airtel have however being charging for USSD banking services for quite some time now unlike the proposed N4 by MTN, Airtel charges approximately N5 for every 20 seconds.

                           The good news is that Airtel has also stopped charging for this service after many users pointed this out to the NCC through its official Twitter handle. So if you are a Airtel user and your Airtel number is registered with your bank, you can now make use of the USSD banking service on your Airtel line for free.
